CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />JUNE 28, 2007 <br />7:30 P.M. <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Chair Jacobsen called the meeting to order at 7:31 p.m., and Gibson led the flag <br />salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Berger, Gibson, Jacobsen and Lange <br />Directors Absent: Holt <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl; Administrators Benton, Hare and Lewanda; <br />Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority (MRCA) Assistant Financial <br />Officer Jones; and Executive Assistant Ohren <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />Les Leach stated that at Conejo Creek South baseball field, the American flag has <br />not been taken down at night nor illuminated, and he requested that the flag be <br />removed until it can be displayed appropriately. <br />Jacobsen thanked Leach for the information, and said the matter would be referred <br />to staff. <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Gibson, and carried 4-0, to approve the <br />agenda as modified; sequence of items changed; Item 3 to follow Item 5. <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Friedl provided a presentation highlighting the District's history, organization, <br />mandate, goals, staffing, budget, size, cooperative programs and partnerships. He <br />stated that currently the District has 60 park facilities and offers a wide array of <br />recreation activities for all segments of the community. He said that the <br />presentation has been provided to the public on various occasions to inform, invite <br />participation, and promote positive relationships. <br />
