No election will be necessary, <br />given that the number of candidates who filed declarations of candidacy did <br />not exceed the number of offices to be filled. <br />It was agreed that the October 9 Board meeting is still scheduled and will <br />probably be held in the large conference room at Hillcrest Center. <br />Additionally, the October 23 Board meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at <br />Borchard Community Center, at which time the rehabilitation of Borchard <br />Park near Gerald Drive will be discussed. <br />E. Directors' Reports <br />Director Berger noted the innovative playground equipment at Horizon Hills <br />School. <br />Relative to Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority (MRCA) and <br />Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy (SMMC), Berger said that all <br />"brushing" of agency land has been completed, and approximately $1 <br />million in filming fees has been received this fiscal year. <br />Holt stated that Francine Sprigel has been recognized as Hardest Worker in <br />Ventura County, and noted her outstanding work in the community. <br />Holt said that the Conejo Council for Youth and Families, a Joint Powers <br />Authority (JPA), is investigating alternatives for cost of insurance. <br />F.
