Recreation Division Report <br />Lindsey referenced the recreation highlights documentation. She said that <br />the RSVP Income Tax Program assisted 1,169 households rile income <br />taxes, and assisted 157 households to file for the Economic Stimulus <br />package. She said that the Touch -A -Truck event will begin with a flag <br />salute. <br />Gibson requested a financial report on the Persian New Year happening. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />No report. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl said that the United Way is the Americorps volunteer "hub" of the <br />community. He noted the ethics compliance options handout. He said <br />concern over State budget issues continues, and he will be in Sacramento <br />on May 12 for a Legislative Conference meeting. Concluding, he said that <br />the multi -agency funding topic will likely be addressed in early 2009. <br />E. Directors' Reports <br />No report. <br />F. Follow -Up Reports on Meetings/Conferences Attended <br />Holt said she had an opportunity to meet Dr. Chris Kimball, new President <br />of California Lutheran University, who said he is in opposition to Measure B, <br />due to its potential adverse effect on the university. <br />Berger presented an overview of Trails Education Day, and suggested that <br />the Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority (MRCA) fire truck be <br />considered for the Touch -A -Truck event. <br />Lange said that the Conejo Valley Days Parade was a very positive <br />experience. <br />
