February 19, 2009 <br />Page 6 <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Benton highlighted recreation events. A free Lake Eleanor Open Space <br />Appreciation flower walk is scheduled for Saturday, February 21. The 22"a <br />Annual Spring Arts & Crafts Festival will be held March 7 and 8 at Borchard <br />Community Center. Rick Tanaka has been appointed to the position of <br />Administrative Clerk at Goebel Senior Adult Center. There will be no <br />interruption in skateboard park programs and events. Wii gaming is now <br />available at the Goebel Center and the spring Aquatics session at the new <br />Community Pool at CLU begins March 14, The Teen Center will host the <br />annual parent/teen pool tournament on Saturday, March 7. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />Lewanda presented an overview of the University of California at Santa <br />Barbara's (UCSB) Economic Forecast for 2009. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl stated that he was in Sacramento earlier in the day to meet with Ralph Heim <br />and CARPD representatives. He highlighted the State budget and economic <br />concerns relative to the District. <br />He said that a large enthusiastic crowd is expected at the CLU community pool <br />ribbon cutting ceremony. <br />E. Directors' Reports <br />None <br />F. Follow -Up Reports on MeetingslConferences Attended <br />Lange said he attended the recent Cal LAFCO meeting in Irvine.
