Staff checked references <br />and is satisfied that Oaktree Construction is capable of performing the work, which will <br />commence in two or three weeks, and the centers will not be closed during the project. <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Short, and carried " to award bid to <br />Oaktree Construction, Inc., in the amount of $338,000 plus contingency in the <br />amount of $33,800, totaling $371,800, for construction of entry improvements at <br />Borchard and Thousand Oaks Centers. Funds in the amount of $371,800 <br />available from CIP accounts 62-805-851-81701-010 and 62-803-851-81002-010. <br />B. Bid Award for McCrea Ranch Waterline Extension -- $38,719.25 <br />Hare provided an overview of the bid process and referenced the revised <br />documentation, which he said provides more complete financial documentation. He <br />said that a notice to bidders was advertised, a mandatory pre-bid meeting was held on <br />site, and eight bids were submitted. The low bid of $36,719.25, plus a contingency <br />amount of $2,000, was submitted by BSN Construction, and met all the required <br />specifications. Staff checked references and is satisfied that BSN is capable of <br />performing the work. The work will extend the waterline from the west to the east side <br />of Moorpark Road and coincides with the City of Thousand Oaks work on the <br />Norwegian Grade. <br />It was moved by Short, seconded by Jacobsen, and carried 5-0 to award bid to <br />BSN Construction, in the amount of $36,719.25, plus contingency in the amount <br />of $2,000, totaling $38,719.25 for construction of McCrea Ranch Waterline <br />Extension.
