Recreation Division Report <br />Lindsey referenced documentation, and highlighted recreation events and activities. <br />Summer registration begins Monday, April 19 for in -District residents. Borchard <br />Community Center will host the 36th Annual Conejo Gem & Mineral Club Show on <br />April 24 and 25. The Family Campout in Wildwood Park is scheduled for April 24-25, <br />and registration is full. <br />Lindsey said that currently two campouts per year are scheduled. <br />Holt said the new brochure is impressive. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />Lewanda stated that the new District financial system, which replaced the AS400, <br />became operational on March 23, and problems have been minimal. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl stated that on April 9 the District hosted the Conejo Leadership Academy. <br />Staff met with City of Thousand Oaks (CTO) representatives to discuss senior adult <br />issues, and will meet again on April 26 for the Senior Adult Master Plan Recreation <br />Implementation Committee. He attended a recent CalPERS seminar, and on April <br />16 will participate with CTO officials to discuss budget issues. <br />Concluding, Friedl stated that a Closed (Executive) Session will not be necessary. <br />E. Directors' Reports <br />Lange noted the upcoming Scandinavian Festival and invited all to attend. <br />Gibson spoke of the approaching California Association of Recreation and Park <br />Districts (CARPD) Conference and said the District will receive an award for Best <br />Innovative Program ... Large District "Special Recreation Network." <br />Additionally, he has been asked to again serve as president- elect next year. <br />Holt said she attended the recent Water Carnival at California Lutheran University <br />(CLU), and it was well organized. <br />
