Conejo Valley Days 2010 — Status Update (Oral Report) <br />Friedl Introduced Kim Ruda, Joe Blash, Frank Avery and Dan Johnson. <br />Dan Johnson, newly appointed Grand Marshall of Conejo Valley Days 2010, <br />expressed appreciation for District support. <br />Frank Avery expressed appreciation for District support and highlighted new <br />activities planned for Conejo Valley Days, including the Unity Walk. <br />Joe Blash, of Shamrock Shows, presented a check to the District for payment of the <br />carnival in 2009. <br />A. Preliminary Budget Fiscal Year 2010-2011 - Resolution 041510-A <br />Lewanda stated that this is an annual occurrence, the preliminary budget submitted <br />for Board consideration is the 2010-2011 budget presented as the second year of the <br />two year budget approved on June 25, 2009. The preliminary budget acts as a <br />stimulus to initiate the public hearing process, which will begin May 6, 2010 and <br />continue until the final budget is adopted on June 17, 2010. Staff intends to <br />propose adjustments to this preliminary budget during the public hearing process to <br />reflect reduced property tax revenue and reduced interest earnings projections. Staff <br />hopes to reduce the budget by $500,000. <br />
