KIMBER PARK <br />Baseline Study - July 15, 17, and 19, 2014 <br />Comparative Study - July 7, 9, and 11, 2015 <br />A. DESCRIPTION <br />Kimber Park is located at 3295 Bear Creek Drive, Newbury Park, California 91320. <br />It is bordered by Wendy Drive and Bear Creek Road. With a total of 8.3 acres, <br />Kimber Park has 6 barbecue grills, a drinking fountain, a 0.4 mile fitness trail, 6 <br />picnic tables, a playground, a volleyball court, and 12 parking stalls. Kimber Park's <br />large surface area allows for many visitors and a variety of activities. For example, <br />soccer, ultimate frisbee, basketball, and bean bag toss all took place during the site <br />study period. Multiple pick-up sporting events were played on Saturday. <br />B. TEMPORARY OFF -LEASH AREA DESCRIPTION <br />The approximate'/ acre off -leash area at Kimber Park is isolated into a far comer of <br />the park. A sidewalk from the parking area separates the main park acreage from <br />the off -leash area. (See map on page 51). <br />C. CAR TRAFFIC <br />Every fifteen minutes, the representative counted the parked cars on Bear Creek <br />and the parking lot. It should be noted that some cars were present all day on Bear <br />Creek and did not move. These cars were assumed residents of the area and were <br />not counted towards the total amount of cars. <br />The 2015 study, as compared to the 2014 study, shows similar patterns and <br />numbers for Kimber Park Car Traffic. On Tuesday and Thursday, around 5:00 p.m., <br />the amount of cars spiked, and Saturdays had many cars present at midday. <br />4 1 P a g e <br />
