CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />July 21, 2011 <br />7:30 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Lange called the meeting to order at 7:33 pm and Lewanda led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Gibson, Holt, Jacobsen, Jones, Lange <br />Directors Absent: None <br />Staff Present: Acting General Manager Lewanda, Administrators Hare and Lindsey, <br />Executive Assistant Reynders <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATION <br />CONEJO BOTANIC GARDEN <br />Beverly Brune presented an overview of the Garden's activities during the past <br />year, including cleanup activities, plantings, maintenance, new signage, owl box <br />additions, a new greenhouse, volunteer recognition; community outreach, poppy <br />festival and plant sales. <br />Brune answered questions from various Board members; she was thanked for her <br />most informative presentation and for all the time and effort she and other <br />volunteers provide to the Botanic Garden. <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />None. <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Lange, and carried 5-0, to approve the <br />agenda as modified. <br />
