CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />September 6, 2012 <br />7:30 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Lange called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and Kloster led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Gibson, Holt, Jacobsen, Jones, Lange <br />Directors Absent: <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Hare, Lewanda and <br />Lindsey, Administrative Assistant Hessman <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Day of the Horse — Barbara Kloster <br />Barbara Kloster, Equestrian Trails Inc. Corral 37 Community Awareness Chair, <br />introduced herself and other ETI members present. She acknowledged and <br />thanked Marc Gann, CRPD equipment operator, for his continued assistance and <br />outstanding maintenance of the Conejo Creek Equestrian Center. Gann was <br />presented a letter of accommodation along with a plaque acknowledging his efforts. <br />Kloster summarized activities planned for the 8t" Annual Day of the Horse <br />scheduled for Saturday, September 8, 2012. She noted the various groups <br />participating in the event and announced this year's Grand Marshall, Wyatt <br />McCrea. <br />Ride On — Bryan McQueeney <br />McQueeney said this year marks Ride On's eleventh year serving the Conejo <br />Valley. He said credit is due the CRPD Board of Directors for their faith, vision and <br />leadership for this achievement which benefits disabled riders. He acknowledged <br />the staff and therapists that comprise the Ride On Therapeutic Horsemanship <br />program and noted the upcoming program fundraiser event on September 22. <br />Board members thanked McQueeney for his efforts. <br />
