CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />January 19, 2012 <br />7:30 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Lange called the meeting to order at 7:33 pm and Holt led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Gibson, Holt, Jacobsen, Jones, Lange <br />Directors Absent: <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Hare and Lindsey, Executive <br />Assistant Reynders <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />On the Field and Beyond — Dana Miller <br />Miller introduced the Sports staff present: Paul Young, Paula Rossomando, Ron Dugar, <br />and Tara Goldbin. She presented an overview of the many and varied sports programs <br />offered by the District, highlighting District partnerships, special events, and use of social <br />media. <br />After answering several questions posed by Board members, Miller was thanked for her <br />comprehensive report. <br />Annual Divisions Service Awards <br />Paul McCarter, Recreation Specialist <br />Jules Leon, Recreation Leader <br />David Excell, Recreation Leader <br />Jill Jensen, Recreation Leader <br />Christy Hempel, Lead Preschool Teacher <br />Marcia Rutledge, Grounds Crew Leader (absent) <br />Lindsey introduced the recipients, presented overviews of their professional and academic <br />accomplishments, and thanked them for their outstanding contributions to the District. <br />
