Hare introduced Barbara Murray and Meredith Jordan, organizers of the event, who answered Board Member's questions and urged them to attend. It was moved by Lange, seconded by Jones, and carried 4-0 to authorize General Manager to execute the Thousand Oaks Rotary Club Chili Cook -Off Agreement for 2014. B. Appointments to the Goebel Senior Center Commission Lindsey explained a special election was held due to unexpected vacancies on the Commission. A recruitment was conducted and four applications were received. Interviews by the Applicant Review Committee were held and a recommendation was made to the Commission. The special election was held on September 25th and three candidates received majority votes. It was moved by Jones, seconded by Huffer, and carried 4-0 to approve the appointments of Anna Colilles-Fuentes, Mary Fineroff and Cindy J. Schreiber to the Goebel Senior Center Commission. C. Recognition Program Honoring Individuals Making a Significant Contribution to Recreation and Parks in the Conejo Valley Friedl presented details of the subject program, which would provide an opportunity for the Board of Directors to give recognition to deserving individuals in the community, as well as provide an avenue for fundraising. Hare presented sample plaques which would be installed in the Gratitude Circle. It was moved by Huffer, seconded by Lange, and carried 4-0, to approve a recognition program honoring individuals making significant contributions to Recreation and Parks in the Conejo Valley. 10.
