She advised the Board there would be no parking passes issued for the "Concerts in the Park" this season. Staff will have a checklist at the parking lot entrance; there will be reserved spots available for Board members. Those planning on attending the Memorial Day concert are asked to please gather stage -side by 4:45 pm. C. Management Services Division Report No report. D. General Manager's Report Friedl reported he, Cecilia Laufenberg and Ron Block attended the County Board of Supervisor's meeting last Tuesday morning, where they expressed support during Public Comments for the "Dreamcatcher Playground", which was on the agenda with a request for a $25,000 award; County Supervisors voted yes to this request. Friedl attended Legislation Days in Sacramento prior to the CARPD Conference last week. He was part of a contingent that met with Senator Pavley, Assemblymember Wilk and a representative from Assemblymember Jeff Gorell's office — he referenced the information passed out to the elected officials can be found in the Board members folders at the dais this evening and represent the issues being brought forward to legislators at this time. The next Board meeting on May 30th will be held in the Large Conference Room due to a scheduling conflict in the Board Room. Friedl will be attending his daughter's high school graduation and as a result, will be absent from the June 13th Board meeting. Friedl stated there was a need for a closed session this evening with no report expected. E. Directors' Reports Lange referenced the invitation he sent to the Board members and staff regarding the Memorial Day opening of the L.A. River Recreation Zone. Anyone interested in attending the event, which begins at 10:00 am, is invited to carpool with him; he will
