Friedl explained the process. <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Jones, seconded by Lange, and carried 5-0 to approve the agenda <br />as presented. <br />6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />A. Approval of Minutes of March 14, 2013 Regular Board Meeting <br />B. Approval of Warrants, Exhibit A <br />Accounts Payable Check Registers Total $365,557.52 <br />Payroll $330,000.00 <br />It was moved by Gibson, seconded by Huffer, and carried 5-0 to approve the <br />consent calendar as presented. <br />7. Award Bid Southshore Hills Basketball Court Replacement Project <br />Denise Johns, Park Planner, presented the item and summarized the staff <br />recommendation to award the contract to Aguilera Brothers Construction; she also <br />clarified staffs denial of the protest by Malibu Pacific Tennis Courts, Inc. <br />Phil Carter, Malibu Pacific Tennis Courts, Inc., Westlake Village, stated his <br />credentials and explained in detail the reasons for his protest of the Aguilera <br />Brothers' Construction's bid. <br />Francisco Aguilera, Aguilera Srotners construction, Santa Paula, set forth his <br />company's capabilities for building a basketball court and indicated the Board should <br />have no reason for concern over their ability to complete the job satisfactorily. <br />It was moved by Gibson, seconded by Lange, and carried 5-0 to: <br />
