Holt, Director <br />Joe Gibson, Director <br />Ed Jones, Director <br />GENERAL MANAGER EMERITUS <br />Tex Ward <br />Subject: Amendment #1 to Contract for Architectural Services at Old Meadows Center <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Authorize General Manager to execute Amendment #1 to contract with Greg Korn Architect, PC, in the <br />amount of $36,390 for a new contract amount of $43,890. <br />DISCUSSION <br />In December 2015, the District entered into attached contract with Greg Korn Architect, PC, in the <br />amount of $7,500 for Schematic Architectural Design at Old Meadows Center. As a result of a series of <br />meetings with Greg Korn, a project was developed including improvements to lighting, kitchen <br />equipment, ceiling and storage (see attached). <br />During the budget process, staff recommended including this project in the Fiscal Year 2016-2017 <br />budget. In order to continue to move forward most effectively, staff recommends amending the contract <br />with Greg Korn Architect, PC, to include services through construction. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN COMPLIANCE <br />Meets 2016 Strategic Plan Element 2.3: Maintain the to -Year Capital Improvement Plan. Regularly <br />update the 10 -Year Capital Improvement Plan to prioritize projects and effectively plan and allocate <br />future resources. As capital funding allows, execute, implement and develop projects each year in <br />accordance with the plan.
