June 18, 2018 <br />Page 5 <br />E. Directors' Reports & Follow -Up Reports on Meetings/Conferences Attended <br />Lange reported on his attendance at the openings of the L.A. River Recreation <br />Zone in the Elysian Valley and at the Sepulveda Dam Basin. A week ago last <br />Saturday he attended the dedication of the completion of the Backbone Trail <br />throughout the SMMC hosted by State Parks and conducted by National Parks <br />Service at Leo Carrillo Park. Last Tuesday Lange attended the opening of the <br />Public Beach Access in the Malibu Colony area. He and Jones both participated in <br />CVUSD "We the People" program at CLU. He, Jones, Holt and Huffer attended the <br />Ride On Building Dedication in Chatsworth. The CVD Children's Parade <br />Committee met and agreed to host the parade again next year. The grand opening <br />of the Regal Theater last week included a donation to three non-profit <br />organizations, including a sum of $6,250 to Play Conejo. <br />Holt reported on La Fiesta del Triunfo and encourages all Board members to <br />attend. She enjoyed her participation in the Ride On event. <br />Jones thanked Lange for all his efforts representing the District on various Boards <br />and at various events. <br />12.
