Holt, Director <br />Joe Gibson, Director <br />Ed Jones, Director <br />GENERAL MANAGER EMERITUS <br />Tex Ward <br />Authorize General Manager to execute a contract with Azteca Landscape in the amount of $538,863 <br />annually ($44,905.25 per month) for services on 47 parks throughout the District. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The District currently contracts (with Azteca Landscape) for this landscaping service at a cost of <br />$436,064 per year ($36,338.68 per month). In preparation of the Request for Proposals, staff <br />comprehensively reviewed the current contract and refined the scope of work. <br />A notice to potential proposers was advertised in the "Ventura County Star' and eight potential firms <br />attended the mandatory pre-bid tour held on February 22, 2016. Three of the firms submitted proposals <br />on March 18, 2016. The evaluation committee interviewed all three proposers and based on the criteria <br />set forth in the Request for Proposals, recommends Azteca Landscape as the successful proposer. <br />The contract is for a five-year period with two optional one-year extensions. The terms of the contract <br />may be extended on the mutual agreement of both parties. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN COMPLIANCE <br />Meets 2016 Strategic Plan Element 2.3 Maintain the 10 -year Capital Improvement Plan. Regularly <br />update the 10 -year Capital Improvement Plan to prioritize projects and effectively plan and allocate future <br />resources. As capital funding allows, execute, implement and develop projects each year in accordance <br />with the plan.
