I was a <br />member on a panel made up of community partners from Youth Outreach, Engage <br />Treatment Program, BreakThrough Student Assistant Program and the Thousand Oaks <br />Police Department. Francine Sprigel from the City of Thousand Oaks was also on site to <br />assist with the program. Throughout the day teen actors portrayed a teen party for 92 <br />parents. The purpose of the program was to expose some of the realities of teen parties to <br />parents and for them to understand why and how they are needed to help change <br />dangerous social norms. A positive and informative discussion took place between the <br />professional panel and parent participants after each tour was completed. <br />2 <br />
