CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />September 4, 2015 <br />7:30 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Huffer called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm and Gibson led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Gibson, Holt, Huffer, Lange <br />Directors Absent: Jones <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Hare, Lewanda and Lindsey, <br />and Executive Assistant Reynders <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Ride -On — Bryan McQueeney <br />Sara Jones, who appeared in Bryan's stead, thanked CRPD for their continued support. <br />This is Ride-On's 14th year in the Conejo Valley. 110 riders a week are served at the <br />Walnut Grove Equestrian Park. She highlighted the people served and the programs <br />offered. On October 10th there will be a fundraiser held at the Chatsworth Ranch. She <br />answered Board member's questions and was thanked for her informative presentation <br />Equestrian Trails Inc. (ETI) <br />Sharon Henry, Vice President of ETI Corral #37, gave a presentation on the improvements <br />that have been made at the park due to their partnership with CRPD. They include a turn- <br />out arena, trail course arena and dressage arena. A `wish list" includes a cross country <br />course. She shared photos of how the facility is being used, including the ever popular, <br />annual Day of the Horse and various horse shows. Membership has grown over 300% <br />this year. Henry thanked CRPD for their support and answered Board member's <br />questions. <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />Yvonne Brockwell, Westlake Village, is concerned about the use of glyphosate at Triunfo <br />
