Recreation Division Report <br />Lindsey referenced Recreation Highlights and specifically noted the special events <br />scheduled for July 4th. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />No report. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl attended the City Council's meeting on June 23`a where the District was <br />recognized for Parks & Recreation month. Next Wednesday he will be taking a <br />hike with the new CVUSD Superintendent. He thanked the Board for all their work <br />on the recently adopted two-year MOU with SEIU, Friedl indicated there would be <br />no need for a second executive closed session this evening. <br />E. Directors' Reports <br />F. Follow -Up Reports on Meetings/Conferences Attended <br />Lange enjoyed the dedication of the Children's Garden at the Community Garden <br />on Saturday, June 20th. He attended the recent LA Metro Transportation Technical <br />Advisory Committee meeting and was also present at last Saturday's Ventura <br />County Amateur Radio Society's field day held at the Reagan Library. <br />Holt, along with Friedl, attended an interesting seminar about the future of the <br />middle class in California, sponsored by CERF (Center for Economic Research and <br />Forecasting) at California Lutheran University. She also attended Doug Tapking's <br />retirement party and is currently working on the upcoming Fiesta de la Triunfo. <br />Huffer attended the Children's Garden and Touch -a -Truck events last Saturday and <br />had a blast. <br />12.
