Public Hearing Preliminary Budget Fiscal Year 2015-201612016-2017 <br />Jones opened the public hearing. There was no public comment; the hearing is <br />continued to the next Board meeting on May 7, 2015. <br />8. ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION <br />9. NEW ITEMS <br />A. Consideration of Resolution No. 041615-A Directing Preparation of the <br />Engineer's Report, Declaring Intention to Levy Assessments for 2015-16, <br />Preliminarily Approving Engineer's Report for Districtwide Park Maintenance and <br />Recreation Improvement District (62-1) and Providing For a Notice of Public <br />Hearing <br />Hare reported this assessment rate is increasing from $34.42 to $34.67. He will bring a <br />detailed report back to the Board in May which will include what projects this <br />assessment will support. Gibson recommends adjusting capital projects to reflect a <br />change in how the District treats landscaping and water costs. Additionally, Gibson <br />stated the draft report makes reference to older projects; certain language needs to be <br />updated and revised before the final report is presented. <br />It was moved by Gibson, seconded by Holt, and carried 5-0 to adopt Resolution <br />No. 041615-A directing preparation of the Engineer's Report, declaring the <br />District's intention to levy assessments for 2015-16, preliminarily approving the <br />Engineer's Report for Districtwide Park Maintenance and Recreation <br />Improvement District (62-1) and providing for a notice of public hearing, that it be <br />read in title only and all further readings be waived. <br />B. Consideration of Resolutions 041615-B and 041615-C for Landscaping <br />Maintenance Districts (LMDs) 92-1 and 94-1 <br />Hare reported the assessment rate for LMD 92-1 is increasing from $70.78 to $78.12 <br />and for LMD 94-1 from $299.00 to $299.89. Gibson suggested modifying some <br />language to incorporate the District's water -saving activities. <br />1.
