CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUYE <br />Gibson called the meeting to order at 5:30 pm and Shirley Ohren led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Gibson, Holt, Huffer, Jones, Lange <br />Directors Absent: <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Hare, Lewanda and Lindsey <br />and Executive Assistant Reynders <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Mark Jacobsen <br />Tex Ward <br />Friedl explained the history and purpose of the recently -completed Gratitude Circle, a <br />partnership between CRPD and Play Conejo. Its function is to celebrate and honor area <br />businesses and individuals who have made a significant contribution of time, effort, or <br />energy on behalf of recreation and parks in the Conejo Valley. <br />Friedl then introduced inaugural honorees Tex Ward and Mark Jacobsen; he outlined their <br />professional and personal contributions to the community, emphasizing their long years of <br />service. Board members then each offered their own thanks to the honorees. <br />Ward and Jacobsen thanked the Board for the honor and acknowledged the people <br />whom, over the years, enabled them to make their unique and meaningful contributions to <br />the community. <br />
