June 6, 2014 <br />Page 3 <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Huffer, and carried 4-1 (Gibson <br />voting No) to adopt Resolution No. 060514-B Ordering the Levy of the <br />Annual Assessment for Landscape Maintenance District 94-1 (Dos <br />Vientos) that it be read in title only and all further readings be waived. <br />C. MRCA Preliminary Budget <br />Lewanda presented the MRCA Preliminary Budget; its formation is based on <br />a more collaborative process this year as department heads are building it. <br />The final budget will be brought to the Board on July 17th for approval. <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Jones, and carried 5-0 to approve <br />the Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority (MRCA) <br />Preliminary Budget for Fiscal Year 2014-15 as presented in the <br />attached document <br />D. Approval of Five -Year Software Maintenance Agreement with New <br />World Systems <br />Lewanda reported CRPD has been contracting with New World Systems for <br />over 25 years. There is nothing new of note in this latest agreement; a <br />clause has been added that will enable the District to change systems b'l <br />simply giving New World Systems 90 days' notice ahead of July 15 <br />Increases typically average 3% per year. <br />It was moved by Huffer, seconded by Lange, and carried 5-0 to: <br />1. Authorize General Manager to sign New World System's <br />Software Maintenance Agreement. <br />2. Authorize Payment of $33,680 for Fiscal Year 2014-15. <br />E. New Job Description for Pool Operator/Manager Aquatics and <br />Authorization to Fill Position <br />Lindsey explained a second full-time person in the Aquatics program is <br />desired and will be funded by existing monies in the aquatics budget. There <br />are currently two funded, but vacant, part-time positions, one contract and <br />one regular — part-time pool operator and part-time pool manager, which will <br />be eliminated to allow for the new position. The proposed job description <br />was based on research into other similar positions. Another full-time person <br />in the Aquatics department will allow for a back-up for the current manager. <br />It was moved by Jones, seconded by Lange, and carried 5-0 to approve <br />
