Water aerobics classes were also much more popular (77 more enrollments).
Conejo Community Center (CCC) increased enrollment over last year through new independent contract classes,
especially those led by GOAT Gainz (134), Rolling Robots (77), and Bricks 4 Kidz (30).
The Goebel Adult Community Center (GACC) began using the CRPD Registration system to sign up participants for its special events this past year, leading to an increase of 423 enrollments alone this summer.
Enrollment decreased at Old Meadows Center (OMC) compared to last year due to a popular independent contractor
not returning who had offered dozens of classes with 84 total participants in 2023. In addition, the Hawaiian Tropical
Dinner and Dance event was held within the Summer session last year and had 71 participants; this event is scheduled
for the beginning of the Fall 2024 session this year.
The Sports Department increased enrollment over last year by adding new classes for dance (57) and badminton (25)
while expanding offerings for tennis (53), basketball (39), and pickleball (30).
Thousand Oaks Community Center (TOC) had planned to offer Summer programs at Newbury Park High School this
year but was unable to due to scheduling conflicts. Overall enrollment would likely have met or exceeded last year if
these classes were able to be held.
