Adopt Resolution 090524-A Finding and Determining that the Borchard
Community Park Skatepark Replacement Project is categorically exempt
from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)
Mooney reported that staff has been working on the redevelopment and
replacement of the Borchard Community Park Skatepark; due to necessary
planning approvals, this Board item is solely about CEQA exemption. Staff will
come back to the Board for construction approval. The exemption is based on
Class 1 and the District's consultant, Envicom Corp., agrees with staff's
recommendation. The plan is to go the City's Planning Commission early in
October for approval and to break ground in early 2025. Construction will take
anywhere from 2 — 5 months depending on weather.
