Lange, Chair <br />Doug Nickles, Vice -Chair <br />Chuck Huffer, Director <br />Nellie Cusworth, Director <br />Marissa Buss, Director <br />GENERAL MANAGER EMERITUS <br />Tex Ward <br />FROM: Julie Spivack, Conejo Senior Volunteer Program Director <br />SUBJECT: Conejo Senior Volunteer Program (CSVP) Activity Report:Aril — June 2024 <br />HIGHLIGHTS <br />CSVP Free Income Tax Program <br />The Conejo Senior Volunteer Program's Free Income Tax Program is in cooperation with the <br />IRS and is in its 34th year. 42 CSVP volunteers, IRS certified preparers and assistants, <br />completed 2,522 (highest ever) Federal and State Tax returns. We met our Minimum Returns <br />Expected (MRE) of 2,250 returns. 78% of returns filed were for clients 60+. The rejection rate <br />was 2.5%. Median Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) was $41,303 and taxpayer average age was <br />74 years old. Spanish and Mandarin translation were again offered this season. Volunteers <br />volunteered over 5,000 hours from January -April. <br />Goebel Cafe Breakfast <br />Breakfast is served Monday - Friday, 9:00-11:00am at the Goebel Cafe. During this period, the <br />Cafe brought in $5,122 in revenue. <br />Senior Nutrition Lunch Program <br />During this period, the Senior Nutrition Program, administered by CSVP, served 4,657 meals to <br />seniors aged 60+. Twenty-five volunteers help to run this program held Monday- <br />Friday,11:30am-12:30pm at the Goebel Cafe. <br />CSVP Donations <br />CSVP Workshop Groups the Busy Bees, Teddy Bears, Crafters, and Nifty Ladies create <br />handmade items donated to our local partner agencies. During this period, 125 Teddy Bears <br />were donated to James Storehouse, Every Child's Dream, and Head Start. 42 pajama bottoms <br />were donated to James Storehouse. 115 blankets were donated to Every Child's Dream <br />Foundation and James Storehouse. 40 lap blankets were donated to Gold Coast Veterans and <br />VC Caregivers. 93 chemo caps were donated to Kaiser. 52 caps and 26 scarves were donated <br />to America Supporting Americans and VC Caregivers. <br />ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES <br />9 403 West Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360-4223 <br />C. 805-495-6471 1 0 805-497-3199 1 � parks@crpd.org www.crpd.org <br />
