However, this is largely due to a
significant increase in enrollment at the Goebel Adult Community Center (GACC), who began using the District’s
registration system for its Special Event sign-ups this past year, accounting for 517 enrollments in this session alone.
Borchard Community Center (BOC) had a much higher enrollment in afterschool programs in 2023 (252 students)
due to the CVUSD Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) which was not continued in 2024 (137 students).
Hillcrest Center for the Arts (HCFA) saw overall lower enrollment primarily due to a popular dance instructor (who
had 43 participants in 2023) choosing not to return this session.
Outdoor Recreation had 198 enrollments across 16 programs led by Goat Kids in 2023. Only one class was held by
the contractor in 2024 with just 18 participants.
Thousand Oaks Community Center (TOC) has seen less interest in homeschool, enrichment, and youth sports
programs, leading to lower overall enrollment.
