Lange, Chair <br />Doug Nickles, Vice -Chair <br />Chuck Huffer, Director <br />Nellie Cusworth, Director <br />Marissa Buss, Director <br />GENERAL MANAGER EMERITUS <br />TO: Board of Directors Tex Ward <br />FROM: Jim Friedl, General Mana <br />SUBJECT: Notice of Availability/Of r.- ase or Sell Surplus Property <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Direct staff to advise the City of Thousand Oaks that the District will not be submitting a notification of <br />interest regarding the available surplus properties. <br />DISCUSSION <br />As required by Government Code Section 54220 of the State of California, the City of Thousand Oaks <br />has notified the District that it intends to lease or sell the surplus property listed in the accompanying <br />letter, which includes a table and site map for reference. As presented at the April 18, 2024, District <br />Board Meeting, as part of the City Manager's Office Presentation of the Campus Master Plan, these <br />subject properties have been designated by the City as opportunity sites for future building <br />development of various uses to support the Campus Project — see attached site plan. <br />Although this planning area has a 5.6 -acre deficiency in neighborhood parks per the current CRPD <br />Master Plan, staff does not plan to take action on these available properties due to the City's interest <br />in developing the properties with a land use different -from parkland. However, the District will continue <br />to review additional opportunities to acquire and develop other suitable properties for parkland. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN COMPLIANCE <br />Meets 2024 Strategic Plan Goal 4.1: Develop, maintain, and enhance relationships with colleagues at <br />the City of Thousand Oaks and the Conejo Valley Unified School District.
