Parks Division Report <br /> <br />Mooney reported staff has held several Rancho Potrero Neighborhood meetings; he <br />expects to bring an action item to the Board at the next meeting on July 18th. <br /> <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br /> <br />Callis reported that Touch a Truck was very successful and expressed thanks to Director <br />Huffer and the Kiwanis Club, and other service clubs, for their assistance with the event. <br />Summer Camps are in full swing. The 401 Hillcrest Drive building is being utilized by the <br />Therapeutics Unit for tweens and older patrons; younger patrons are still being served at <br />Old Meadows. Callis referenced two handouts shared with the Board this evening: an <br />updated flyer outlining the partnerships between CRPD and the City, and an Administrative <br />Memo regarding Political Policy Issues in Parks and Outside of Facilities. She and Director <br />Nickles attended the City Council meeting last Tuesday, representing the District, as it was <br />recognized for National Parks and Recreation month. That evening, Callis presented a <br />video to the Council highlighting their mutual partnerships. <br /> <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br /> <br />Smith provided a legislative update including information on the Workplace Violence <br />Protection Plan; a plan and training are currently being implemented at the District. Many <br />thanks to Human Resources Manager Howell for assisting in the rollout and helping to meet <br />the July 1st deadline. Regarding the proposed Taxpayer Protective Act Initiative, the <br />California Supreme Court has ruled it will not appear on the November ballot. <br /> <br />D. General Manager’s Report <br /> <br />Friedl gave kudos to Smith and her staff regarding all the hard work that went into both <br />the CRPD and MRCA final budgets presented this evening.
