CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />June 20, 2024 <br />6:00 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />M I N U T E S <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br /> <br />Nickles called the meeting to order at 6:01pm and he led the flag salute. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br />Directors Present: Cusworth, Huffer, and Nickles <br /> <br />Directors Absent: Buss, Lange <br /> <br />Staff Present: Friedl, General Manager; Callis, Recreation and Community Services <br />Director; Mooney, Parks and Planning Director; Smith, Management <br />Services Director; and Reynders, Executive Assistant <br /> <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br /> <br />Conejo Valley Historical Society <br /> <br />Neal Scribner, President, Conejo Valley Historical Society (CVHS), referenced the 2023 <br />Annual Report distributed to Board members. He reviewed the activities and projects from <br />the last year, paying special attention to those that were facilitated by the District’s matching <br />grant program. He thanked the Board and Staff for all their support. Scribner answered Board <br />member’s questions and was thanked for his informative presentation. <br /> <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br /> <br /> Kimberly Destler, Thousand Oaks, expressed concerns over conditions at Rancho Potrero <br />Equestrian Center and her eviction from boarding her horse there. <br /> <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />It was moved by Huffer, seconded by Cusworth, and carried 3-0 to approve the agenda <br />as presented. <br /> <br />6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />A. Approval of Minutes of the June 6, 2024, Regular Board Meeting <br /> <br /> B. Approval of Warrants <br /> Accounts Payable Check Registers Total $358,353.18 <br /> Payroll $521,850.00 <br />
