Lange, Chair <br />Doug Nickles, Vice -Chair <br />Chuck Huffer, Director <br />Nellie Cusworth, Director <br />Marissa Buss, Director <br />GENERAL MANAGER EMERITUS <br />Tex Ward <br />Public Utility Easement peed- o Southern California Edison Company for the <br />Installation and Maintenance of Electrical Service at Sapwi Trails <br />Community Park for Calleguas Municipal Water District - Lindero Pump <br />Station Improvements <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Authorize General Manager to grant a public utility easement in substantial compliance with the <br />attached Public Utility Easement Deed to Southern California Edison Company (SCE) for <br />electrical service lases to Calleguas Municipal Water District's (CMWD) Lindero Pump Station, <br />located at Sapwi Trails Community Park. <br />DISCUSSION <br />Calleguas Municipal Water District possesses a permanent easement for water conduit purposes <br />at Sapwi Trails Community Park. The easement runs in a southeasterly direction from the <br />intersection at Erbes Road and Scenicpark Street to the Erbes Road Pump Station, also known <br />as Lindero Pump Station. <br />CMWD is preparing to rehabilitate the pump station and SCE requires new electrical service lines <br />to the pump station. The proposed permanent SCE easement for electrical service lines consists <br />of underground conduits, a pull box, and wires as necessary to operate the pump equipment. The <br />requested easement is 6 feet wide along the conduits and 13 feet wide at the pull box by <br />approximately 523 feet long, from the Erbes Road right-of-way along the existing paved driveway, <br />which is located south of Sapwi Trails Community Park and serves the Oakbrook Service Yard <br />as well as the City of Thousand Oaks and Calleguas Pump Stations. <br />Southern California Edison Company, per company policy, does not accept a third -party <br />agreement.
