• <br />one o <br />Recreation & Park District <br />D'cf 94igan+c <br />Borchard Community Center <br />Recreation & Community Services <br />Recreation Division Highlights <br />Thursday, April 25, 2024 <br />Conejo Creek Family Movie Night <br />On Friday, April 12, Borchard Center held a Family Movie <br />Night at Conejo Creek. Over 100 friends and families were in <br />attendance to watch Disney's Encanto and experience the <br />outdoor cinema from their very own community. Along with <br />the movie showing, the Rec Van was out and our Conejo <br />Creek families had the opportunity play games like soccer, <br />frisbee, and the stomp rocket. Food was provided by Safe <br />Passage which included pizza, popcorn, and juice. <br />Therapeutic Recreation <br />Thousand Oaks Police Service Unit <br />On April 22, the Thousand Oaks Police Service Unit (TOPS) participated in their bi-monthly service project <br />and volunteered at the Battle of the Badges event at the Moorpark Country Club. Volunteers passed out <br />water to patrons and assisted with the cleaning of golf carts at the end of the event. <br />Adult Social and Friends <br />Our Adult Social and Friends and Friends of OMC programs have been enjoying their community! They had <br />a visit from the firefighters of Station 34, enjoyed a baseball themed day at Fiore Fields, and had picnic <br />lunches at various parks. <br />.aA <br />Dos Vientos Community Center <br />Friday Fun Night <br />On Friday, April 20, the Dos Vientos Center hosted our Friday Fun Night event. We had 30 neighborhood <br />kids, ages 6-14, filling up our gymnasium to play on our bounce house, play games, eat pizza, and go on <br />a pre -dusk hike.
