ROLL CALL <br />3. <br />Directors Present: Berger, Gibson, Holt, Jacobsen, and Lange <br />Directors Absent: None <br />Staff Present: General Manager Ward, Administrators Jorgensen, Sorensen and <br />Scott, Recreation Services Manager Wiley, and Executive Secretary Ohren <br />SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />COSTAC Trails Education Days Essay Contest Winners <br />Winners School Teacher <br />Rachel Jacques Aspen Elementary Miss Young <br />Kathryn Artale Lang Ranch Elementary Mr. Marshall <br />Alex Friedman Lang Ranch Elementary Mr. Marshall <br />Daniel Harvey Lang Ranch Elementary Mr. Marshall <br />Jennifer Simpson Lang Ranch Elementary Mr. Marshall <br />Gina Smirthwaite highlighted the third annual COSTAC essay contest. She said it is <br />funded by the Andy Fox Charity Fund, approximately 800 essays were submitted, 19 <br />out of 20 area schools participated, and four of the five winners are from Lang <br />Ranch Elementary School. She noted the presence of Rachel Jacques, Miss Young <br />and Mr. Marshall, distributed packets of the winning essays to the Board, and <br />thanked the District for its support of COSTAC. <br />On behalf of the Board and District, Jacobsen presented a certificate and memento <br />to Jacques, and identified the other four grand prize winners. Board members <br />commended Jacques and the other winners. <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />
