February 1, 2024 <br />Page 4 <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Callis referenced the bi-lingual Museum flyer that was provided to the Board <br />members this evening; it is a quarterly publication. The California Recreation and <br />Park Society (CPRS) has selected the District to receive an Award of Excellence in <br />the Marketing and Communications category for their work on CRPD's 60th <br />Anniversary. Morla-Garcia and Morales will be accepting the award on the District's <br />behalf at the upcoming CPRS Conference. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl reported that the California Lutheran University Women's Soccer Team wi <br />be honored at the next Boad meeting. Next Tuesday, the Ventura County Speci 11 <br />District's Association's annual award dinner will be held at Hillcrest Center. Th <br />February 15th Board meeting will include the most recent Annual Audit an <br />Financial Reserves Policy. Friedl distributed the 2024 Board Buddies list an <br />materials for the 2024 Gratitude Circle nominations. <br />E. Directors Reports and Follow-up Reports on Meetings/Conferences Attended <br />Buss attended an Ad Hoc Conejo Creek Master Plan Committee meeting, a Finance <br />and Audit Committee meeting and the Special Board Meeting. Cusworth referenced <br />the speaker series at the Stagecoach Inn which will be focusing on history. She <br />attended a Stagecoach Inn Board meeting and David Szymanski's retirement party. <br />She also expressed gratitude for the Marketing Department — their amazing graphics <br />and the speed with which they get information out to the public. Huffer attended the <br />Finance and Audit Committee meeting. Today was the first day of the Tax Program <br />being held at Conejo Creek South; 28 people were served. Lange attended an MRCA <br />Board meeting and will be meeting with Wendy MacLeod on Monday to talk about her <br />efforts to revive the Conejo Valley Days parade. <br />-1111 1 111!�,fl <br />all 411 <br />
