Timeline <br />There are four phases to the development and implementation of the Youth Master Plan <br />(completed and projected): <br />Phase I Concept Development: (September 9999 — July 2009) <br />o Completed development of concept and background research <br />o Gained City Council approval and funding to develop Youth Master Plan <br />o Engaged consultant (Coachman -Moore & Associates ) <br />Phase Il -Preparation of Youth Master Plan: (August 2009 - July 2002) <br />o Formed Youth Master Plan Committee <br />o Solidified ad hoc Youth Master Plan Committee team and spread ownership <br />for Youth Master Plan throughout the community <br />o Completed Youth Master Plan <br />o Presented Youth Master Plan to City Council for Approval <br />Phase III -Development of Implementation Strategy (September 2002 — June 2003) <br />o Develop specific objectives, action steps and a timeline for each goal <br />o Institute an accountability plan for ongoing assessment and evaluation <br />o Develop a resource and funding plan to continue Youth Master Plan activities <br />and initiatives <br />o Work with City Of Thousand Oaks, Conejo Valley Unified School District, <br />Conejo Recreation and Park District, businesses, parents, students, and <br />community and faith -based organizations to assure success of Youth Master <br />Plan elements <br />o Initiate action steps and complete selected short-term items <br />Phase IV- Implementation: (September 2003 — June 2007) <br />o Initiate implementation of short-term and long-term goals <br />o Continue implementation of ongoing elements <br />14 City of Thousand Oaks Youth Master Plan July 2, 2002 <br />168 <br />
