<br />January 4, 2024 <br />Page 4 <br /> <br /> <br />Museum Liaison and Conejo Valley Historical Society Board of Trustees liaison be <br />combined into one Museum Liaison committee since she works with both museums <br />and also with McCrea Ranch. A discussion ensued regarding the various other <br />committees. It was agreed to postpone the approval of the Board Appointments and <br />Assignments and that it be brought back to the Board on January 18th. <br /> <br />F. Board of Directors’ Norms, Guidelines and Processes Review <br /> <br />Friedl discussed the importance of reviewing this document annually. There are <br />no recommended changes from staff. Nickles recommended striking the word <br />“back” from the last sentence in item 2.1.3. Nickles also recommended striking <br />“and from the podium” from item 2.2 (c) since meetings can be attended via Zoom. <br /> <br />It was moved by Cusworth, seconded by Nickles, and carried 5-0 to approve <br />the Board of Directors’ Norms, Guidelines and Processes, as modified. <br /> <br />9. ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br /> A. 2024 Goals and Objectives <br /> <br />Friedl created the list to distill those items from the Strategic Plan that are priorities for <br />2024. A discussion ensued regarding how the list should be structured, what could be <br />accomplished in 2024, what the priorities are, and what would be ongoing goals. <br />Specific goals were discussed by the Board, and staff fielded questions. It was <br />recommended that the Goals and Objectives list would be reviewed by the Board <br />quarterly with updated status information. <br /> <br />Janet Wall, Thousand Oaks, presented a petition with 350 signatures opposing <br />pickleball courts at Triunfo Community Park. She shared residents’ concerns about <br />having pickleball courts at the park, including the increased noise. <br /> <br />10. REPORTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> <br />A.
