R• b. 16, 2023 <br />Page 2 <br />Morla-Garcia, Marketing and Communications Supervisor and Juan Garcia, Marketing <br />and Communications Assistant, presented a video covering the history of CRPD's <br />marketing odyssey, including CRPD's Recreation Program Guide's beginnings, the <br />Districts' entry into the digital realm, and, in the year 2000, the unveiling of its website. <br />Regarding its social media history, CRPD joined Facebook in 2012 and eventually <br />expanded its presence to include Instagram, Linked In and YouTube. The Marketing <br />team is constantly looking at ways to improve, especially with regard to the District's <br />website and its online space; a Marketing Committee will be formed in the near future. <br />There has been a recent revamping of the Program Guide and a refresh of the District's <br />logo; the logo was unveiled during the presentation. <br />The Board members thanked Morla-Garcia and Garcia for their informative and creative <br />presentation. <br />Janet Wall, Thousand Oaks, stated her opposition to any trial programs for pickleball <br />courts in her neighborhood (adjacent to Triunfo Park) and asked the Board to please <br />reconsider the idea of having pickleball trials where homes are very close to the courts. <br />Mr. Khorshid, Thousand Oaks, lives adjacent to Triunfo Park and is concerned about <br />noise issues with pickleball courts; he asks that staff consider the negative impact to <br />residents living near the courts. <br />_I & 0 We] J UCI I IVA, <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Cusworth, and carried 5-0 to approve the agenda <br />as presented. <br />Approval of Warrants <br />Accounts Payable Check Registers Total $1,227,015.27 <br />Payroll $954,000.00 <br />It was moved by Cusworth, seconded by Buss, and carried 5-0 to approve the Consent <br />Calendar as presented. <br />
