Over 150 teens, grades 6-8, came out and had a great
time enjoying the DJ, playing on huge
inflatables, taking pictures in the photo booth,
and eating and drinking pizza and soda. We
received lots of positive comments from
attendees and are planning another similar
event soon.
Hillcrest Center for the Arts
Elementary Music
The Elementary Music program added three more band programs this fall to Conejo Academy, Madrona, and Walnut Elementary School. Through the partnership with Conejo Valley Unified School District’s Extended Learning Opportunity Program (ELOP), we have been able to place 90 students in music programs across the district.
The Witches Princess
The set pieces, medieval armor, projections, and fantastical props are becoming assembled for Young Artist Ensemble’s fall show The Witches Princess. Some describe it as an ancient folktale and epic heroic tale combined with humor in the vein of Monty Python. Attached is a photo of Grendel’s Arm on one of the thrones. Tickets for all events are available at www.hillcrestart.org. by visiting the box office, or calling 805-381-2747.
Sports
Monster Smash Pickleball Tournament
The Sports Unit will be hosting, in coordination with partners from Ventura County Pickleball Club our Annual Monster Smash Pickleball Tournament at Rancho Conejo’s 10 Courts.
