SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Grayson Wolpert Scholarship — Therapeutics Unit <br />Devon Herbert, Recreation Supervisor of the Therapeutics Unit, welcomed Richard <br />Wolpert to speak about the Grayson Wolpert Scholarship Fund and its support of the <br />Therapeutics Unit. The Fund was established by Richard and his wife, Jenny, in memory <br />of their daughter, Grayson, who passed away in 2009 at the age of 15. Grayson <br />volunteered for the Therapeutics Unit (TU) and found the work very meaningful. In an <br />effort to create something good out of her death, the fund was created. Monies have <br />been used to offer peer mentor counseling at the TU as well as support the annual Silver <br />Starlight Ball, and programs at Ride -On Therapeutic Horsemanship. Luke Seldin, a <br />recent graduate and valedictorian from Westlake High School, was introduced and <br />presented with a $1,000 scholarship check; he will be attending UC Santa Cruz in the fall. <br />Luke started volunteering for the Therapeutics Unit through Boys Team Charity in 2017 <br />and performed 173 volunteer hours between the years of 2017 and 2022. Board <br />members thanked the Wolperts for their support of Therapeutic programs and <br />congratulated Seldin on receiving the Wolpert scholarship. <br />Equestrian Trails Inc. Corral #37 <br />Sharyn Henry, President of Equestrian Trails Incorporated (ETI) Corral #37 provided an <br />update on ETI — where they are headed and what they've been up to. She shared ETI's <br />purpose, which includes being dedicated to equine legislation, promoting good <br />horsemanship, and acquiring and preserving riding and hiking trails in California. The <br />
