Public Hearing Preliminary Budget Fiscal Years 2023124 — 2024/25 <br />Adoption of Fiscal Year (FY) 2023-24 and 2024-25 Budgets <br />Adopt Resolution • <br />Huffer opened the Public Hearing. <br />Smith reported that this year's budget process began in early April, with the <br />adoption of a preliminary budget. Public hearings have been held at each <br />subsequent Board meeting. The proposed Ten -Year Capital Improvement Budget <br />was reviewed on May 4th and the proposed Operating Budget on June 1st. <br />Regarding the Operating Budget, Smith noted a few small changes and minor <br />corrections, as well as the fact that the budget includes the capacity to address <br />preliminary planning and potential pilot projects for pickleball projects. No material <br />changes have been made. She referenced a few changes to the Ten -Year Capital <br />Improvement Plan; this plan also includes the proposed Capital Improvement <br />Projects for the upcoming two fiscal years. <br />Kathrin Nolan, Thousand Oaks, thanked the many pickleball volunteers, especially <br />'those in the audience, and thanked CRPID staff and Board members for listening to <br />all the pickleball players who have spoken at the Public Hearings regarding the <br />budget. <br />
