June 15, 2023 <br />Page 3 <br />Dave Dolnick, Thousand Oaks, would appreciate anything the Board could do short <br />term to provide more pickleball courts. <br />Shawn Howie mentioned some pickleball court fundraising ideas, including <br />recognizing donors at the Rancho Conejo Playfields by naming courts or having a <br />naming wall, or floor tiles. <br />It was moved by Cusworth, seconded by Buss, and carried 5-0 to Adopt <br />Resolution 061523-A adopting the Fiscal Years 2023-24 and 2024-25 budgets <br />ior all funds as attached and policy matter contained in the body of the <br />memorandum, that it be read in title only and all future readings be waived. <br />8. Award Bid for Paige Lane Neighborhood Park Landscape Project in the <br />amount of $155,000 Base Bid plus contingency of $16,775, totaling $171,775 <br />Mooney reported that in August of 2021, the Board approved a contract to build <br />Paige Lane Neighborhood Park. During construction, due to extreme drought <br />conditions, the Board directed staff to omit the installation of three acres of natural <br />turf from the construction scope. The park is now completed, and due to recent <br />record precipitation and lessened state and local water restrictions, staff have <br />prepared the final plans to execute the original landscape project of the three -acre <br />turf installation. Staff put the job out for bid; three bids were received with the <br />lowest bid from FS Contractors. <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Nickles, and carried 5-0 to award bid <br />to FS Contractors, Inc. for $155,000 Base Bid plus contingency in the <br />amount of $16,775, totaling $171,775 for installation of natural turf sod and <br />irrigation rotors at Paige Lane Neighborhood Park <br />B. Agreement Between Conej"o Valley Unified School District (CVUSD) an <br />Conejo Recreation and Park District Regarding Youth Outreach i <br />Callis reported on the history of the Youth Outreach Program and stated it is time <br />to renew the agreement between CRPD and CVUSD. The agreement remains <br />essentially unchanged; it is recommended the extension be for a period of three <br />years. <br />
