CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />June 15, 2023 <br />6:00 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />M I N U T E S <br />Huffer called the meeting to order at 6:00pm and Duerr led the flag salute. <br />Directors Present: Buss, Cusworth, Huffer, Lange and Nickles <br />Directors Absent: <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Callis, Mooney and Smith, and <br />Executive Assistant Reynders, <br />Conejo Valley Historical Society (CVHS) — Stagecoach Inn <br />Pam Ponds, recent Past President of CVHS, expressed thanks to the CRPD Board and <br />staff for their continued support of the Stagecoach Inn Museum. She reviewed the CVHS <br />Annual Report for 2022, which included information on various volunteers, programs, and <br />collections, as well as data that point toward a positive trend in museum membership and <br />attendance since the end of the pandemic. She shared details from the current financial <br />report and made reference to recent improvements made to the museum property. Pond <br />answered Board member's questions and was thanked for her informative presentation. <br />Professional Growth Presentation — Tim Duerr <br />Duerr, Recreation Services Manager, reported on CRPD's Professional Growth Program, <br />which provides District employees, full-time and part-time, with opportunities to grow <br />professionally and to learn skills that can assist them moving forward in their careers. In <br />this, the program's inaugural year, twelve participants were partnered with CRPD <br />mentors, and the full class met once a month for six months. Duerr thanked the committee <br />members who assisted with the program. The participants were presented with <br />certificates by Board Chair Huffer. Duerr thanked the administrative staff for their support. <br />
