Lange, Vice Chair <br />Doug Nickles, Director <br />Nellie Cusworth, Director <br />Marissa Buss, Director <br />GENERAL MANAGER EMERITUS <br />Tex Ward <br />Titans Cricket Club for Use and <br />Authorize General Manager to enter into an agreement with Thousand Oaks Titans Cricket Club (TO <br />Titans). <br />DISCUSSION <br />Interest in the sport of cricket has grown in the region. The TO Titans is a member of the Southern <br />California Cricket Association, a non-profit organization formed in 1935 to serve the areas ranging <br />from San Diego to Santa Barbara and inland to Riverside. The TO Titans was formed in 2017 and <br />has held use permits with the District since 2021. Furthermore, the TO Titans desires to work with <br />the District to continue to promote the sport of cricket, with participation locally and regionally. <br />Additionally, the TO Titans desires to assist the District to construct and maintain synthetic cricket <br />pitch improvements at Pepper Tree Playfield. Highlights of the agreement include: <br />TO Titans will construct and maintain synthetic turf cricket pitch improvements <br />(approximately 10' x 80') in an open public park facility, which will be available to the public <br />when TO Titans use is not permitted. <br />® TO Titans will assist with, coordinate, and maintain, under CRPD's direction and approval, <br />the synthetic turf cricket pitch improvements at Pepper Tree Playfield. Any improvements <br />to the Pepper Tree Playfield shall be the sole property of CRPD. <br />TO Titans will utilize Pepper Tree Playfield for the sport of cricket during scheduled use via <br />an approved permit, subject to CRPD's field allocation policies and practices as they may <br />be amended from time to time. <br />® The District will coordinate with the TO Titans so that they may host annual contests, <br />competitions, sponsored activities, or fundraisers attended by patrons from regional clubs <br />at Pepper Tree Playfield. <br />ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES <br />403 West Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360-4223 <br />805-495-6471 1 Fax: 805-497-3199 1 parks@crpd.org I www.crpd.org <br />
