Thousand Oaks Rotary Club Chili Cook-Off and Craft Brew Festival – 2023 Annual <br />Agreement and Permit Conditions Conejo Creek North <br /> <br />1. Determine that the Thousand Oaks Rotary Club Chili Cook-Off and <br /> Craft Brew Festival (CHILI COOK-OFF) for 2023 is categorically exempt <br /> from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) <br /> <br />2. Authorize the General Manager to execute the CHILI COOK-OFF <br /> Agreement for 2023 <br /> <br />Director Buss recused herself from this item, not because of a financial interest, but as Chair <br />of Chili Cook-Off for the last four years. Hare reported staff believes this event qualifies for <br />a Class 23 Categorical Exemption under CEQA. This Agreement is very similar to the <br />previous agreements. The event will be held on Sunday May 7th and will be open to the <br />public from 11:00am to 5:00pm; additional parking will be available at Conejo Creek South <br />and Conejo Creek Northwest. Nelson Buss, Thousand Oaks Rotary Club, reported on the <br />popularity of the event after a couple of years off due to the pandemic. All monies raised go <br />directly to community organizations. It is a fun event for the whole family. Buss answered <br />Board member’s questions. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Cusworth, seconded by Lange, and carried 4-0 (Buss recused) to: <br /> <br />1. Determine that the Rotary Club of Westlake Village Wild Oaks Country <br /> Music Festival (WILD OAKS) for 2023 is categorically exempt from the <br /> California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) <br /> <br />2. Authorize the General Manager to execute the WILD OAKS Agreement <br /> for 2023 <br /> <br />Hare reported staff believes this event qualifies for a Class 23 Categorical Exemption under <br />CEQA.
