RESOLUTION NO. 090822-B OF THE CONEJO <br />RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT NOMINATING <br />DOUG NICKLES TO FILL THE TERM OF 1/1/2023 — <br />• FOR THE REGULAR SPECIAL DISTRICT <br />MEMBEROFTHEVENTURALOCALAGENCY <br />FORMATION COMMISSION <br />WHEREAS, the Executive Officer of the Ventura Local Agency Formation <br />Commission (LAFCo) has notified the District of an anticipated vacancy on LAFCo for a <br />regular member appointed by the independent special districts in Ventura County to fill <br />the term from 1/1/2023 to 12/31/2026, and has issued a call for nominations to be <br />submitted in writing pursuant to California Government Code Section 56332(c); and <br />WHEREAS, at the time and in the manner required by law, the Conejo <br />Recreation and Park District met on September 8, 2022, to consider the call for <br />nominations by the LAFCo Executive Officer. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Conejo Recreation and Park <br />District as follows: <br />1) Doug Nickles is hereby nominated to fill the anticipated vacancy in the term <br />beginning 1/1/2023 and expiring 12/31/2026 as the Regular member of the <br />Ventura LAFCo appointed by independent special districts in Ventura County. <br />2) The General Manager shall transmit a signed copy of this Resolution and a copy <br />of the resume or candidate statement for Doug Nickles to the Ventura LAFCo <br />Executive Officer. <br />This resolution was adopted on September 8, 2022. <br />AYES <br />NOES <br />ABSTAINS <br />Dated: <br />Nellie Cusworth, Chair <br />Conejo Recreation and Park District <br />
