The first Volunteer Appreciation Day since 2019 was held recently and over 300 volunteers were honored. Excitement is building over the return of "Charity Karaoke," scheduled for August Th, which will raise money for non -profits; 20 agencies are participating this year. Daub gave an update on the Teen Center, which reopened its doors on June 15, 2021. She reviewed a number of classes and events offered, including concerts with local bands, sports leagues, winter outings, dances for Th and 8th graders and Dr. Steve's homeschool science class, which is taught 5 days a week and has been offered for over ten years. Classes include mountain biking, art, and bike maintenance. Building renovations are underway, so the Center is currently closed. Programming is being held at a variety of other locations, including the Janss Marketplace and Sycamore Canyon School. The Center is scheduled to reopen in late summer.
