Additional Drought Response Guidelines to Conejo Recreation and Park District’s <br />Water Conservation Plan <br /> <br /> Hare reminded the District of its serious commitment to being a leader in local water <br />conservation efforts. Through the years, these efforts have accelerated, and Hare expressed <br />pride in the District’s water conservation efforts. As part of the October 2021, annual update <br />to the District’s water conservation plan, the Board directed staff to present additional <br />guidelines for a worsening drought scenario in the next update, scheduled for Fall 2022. <br />However, due to the current drought situation, staff has accelerated this item. The actions <br />presented this evening will be a part of the Fall 2022 update. Hare explained the 3-tier plan <br />and outlined the various levels and triggers. He reviewed the public notification process, the <br />recovery costs, and the estimated annual water savings and answered Board member’s <br />questions. None of these actions will take place without further Board approval. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Huffer, seconded by Lange, and carried 5-0 to approve additional <br />drought response guidelines to the District’s Water Conservation Plan. <br /> <br />10.
