Award purchase in the amount of $264,840.84 to Quinn Power Systems <br />for Two (2) Caterpillar XQ230 trailer -mounted generators through <br />Sourcewell's (NJPA) Public Procurement Contract (Contract #120617- CAT). <br />F. Amendment of Option and Lease Agreement with T -Mobile West LLC, for <br />Upgrades to Existing Wireless Communications Facility at Dos Vientos <br />Community Park <br />Hare presented a brief history of the agreement, originally entered into in October of 2012 <br />and amended twice since then. This amendment pertains to upgrades on the antenna pole <br />and within the vault. The District will receive an additional $560 per month, bringing the total <br />current monthly rent, once construction begins, to $4,520.28. <br />It was moved by Cusworth, seconded by Huffer, and carried 5-0 to Authorize <br />General Manager to approve third amendment of Option and Lease Agreement <br />with T -Mobile Westcurrently managed by Vertical Bridge, for upgrades to <br />existing wireless communications facility at Dos Vientos Community Park. <br />Friedl stated this item is a follow-up from the last two Board meetings. He outlined some <br />reasons Staff recommends the District keep their membership in the NRPA. This year, the <br />organization is focusing on the topic of Equity, and published an "Equity Language Guide." <br />Nickles referenced a memo he wrote, which was included as part of this item, that outlines <br />his objections with portions of the guide, especially regarding NRPA's guidance on use of the <br />word "Americans" and proposed the District discontinue its NRPA membership. Friedl stated <br />that an alternate option could be for CRPD to become a part of the discussion with regard to <br />improving the Equity Guidelines. Discussion ensued. <br />It was moved by Huffer, seconded by Holt, and carried 3-2 (Lange and Nickles votin <br />No) to retain CRPD membership in NRPA. I <br />Friedl offered to send a link to this discussion to NRPA so they can hear the concerns and <br />perspectives expressed by the Board members. <br />
