Recreation Division Highlights Page 3 of 3 Revised 12.2021
Conejo Community Center
Self Defense and Martial Arts
Our little warriors have gotten to build their self-confidence, learn about self-discipline and
respect for others, and enjoy the fun of Korean martial arts with our national champion black belt instructor Niki Wright! Each class is full of lessons on different skills such as types of
kicks, blocks, and nunchucks use and safety.
Alphabet Soup
Our families and their little ones have gotten to immerse themselves in the world of Alphabet Soups fun-filled classes! For the Letter âFâ day, they became hard working farmers and had to
search for all the escaped animals to bring back to the farm. Then they grabbed their fishing poles so they could see if they could catch any fish friends to take home!
Super Science
Conejo Community Center staff worked as a team to put together a multitude of super scientific
experiments for the budding scientists in our class. From elephant toothpaste to see-through eggs, our instructors showed our participants the fun of science while adding in
a ton of educational facts about the experiments!
Open House at McCrea Ranch
We held our first Open House since the start of the pandemic, and we are ecstatic to say it was a massive success! We had more visitors come tour the ranch, visitor center, and the Milk
House then we expected, and it was a delight to see all the members of the community enjoy the historic McCrea Ranch facilities.
