BACKGROUND On July 11, 2012, the Board of Directors unanimously approved "Norms," "Guidelines," and "Processes" after considering and discussing these documents over several meetings. Modifications to these documents have been made over the years. The most recent change, approved at the December 3, 2020, Board meeting, was an addition to the "Processes" portion — Section 1.1.1: "Board meetings shall be held in accordance with the Brown Act and any applicable executive orders." This change was made to clarify when zoom meetings are allowed and ensuring awareness of the possibility of "zooming" and teleconferencing of meetings. These documents serve to memorialize the traditions and business practices that have fostered a collegial, professional, respectful, and fun atmosphere among the District's officials as they strive to serve the public's recreation, parks and open space needs in an open, deliberative and efficient manner. The "Norms," "Guidelines" and "Processes" are included under the Board of Director's section on the Conejo Recreation and Park District's website.
